Mayor Brenda Chisholm Beaton Elected President of Nova Scotia Federation of Municipalities

Port Hawkesbury’s Mayor Brenda Chisholm Beaton is the new president of the Nova Scotia Federation of Municipalities. She was appointed to the position at the organizations fall conference at the beginning of the month and she was very happy to be elected for the role.

Chisholm Beaton hopes to have more in person meetings with the municipalities during her term.

The organization conducts advocacy work to represent the needs and challenges of all the municipalities in the province. The term for the president position will last a total of 12 months.
