Fundraiser at Inverness Arts Centre to raise money for 2025 season

Get ready for a fun filled, formal evening to support a local community hub.

The Inverness County Centre for the Arts is hosting a Christmas Gala, with a silent auction, to support their upcoming 2025 season.

Events Director Olivia MacDonald tells us, items to bid on are from about 15 local businesses, including everything from artwork to gift cards to clothes.

“If you are looking to dress up and come out for a nice relaxing evening with your friends or family, then this is the perfect event for that. It’s a great opportunity for last minute Christmas gifts.”

In addition to that, there will be refreshments as well as live music featuring local artists, Claverhouse Band and Abbey Mullendore with Steve Luxton.

Still very busy

The Centre for the Arts has been around for 40 years.

MacDonald tells us it’s still very busy and this years’ season went really well.

“We hosted four outdoor summer shows, we’ve had five exhibitions and we’ve seen so much traffic, it’s been incredible.”

What is on the way for next season is still under wraps, but MacDonald says exciting things are lined up.

The Gala is 6:30p.m., Saturday.
