The Eastern Counties Regional Library has a new board chair.
Mr Clair Rankin was elected to the position at a meeting held on January 20th.
He brings a wealth of experience to the role having served on the ECRL board for 16 years and has also done volunteer work for the community, another asset he brings to the role.
Rankin stated that it’s an exciting time for ECRL with a new library being open in Cheticamp and a new library site being planned for St Peters.” The presence of enhanced library services in these locations, along with the other eight library branches spread throughout Richmond, Inverness, and Guysborough counites means ECRL is growing.” says Rankin
He would like to thank Shirley McNamara for guiding the organization as the board chair for the past six years.
