Hummingbirds have been seen in Nova Scotia already!

Spring migration for hummingbirds has begun and (believe it or not!!) some have been spotted in Nova Scotia. (hope they brought their winter jackets!)

You can report a sighting here.

If you feed hummingbirds, don’t bother with the store bought food, it isn’t needed and contains dyes.

Clean your feeder and add a sugar and water mixture. 1 part sugar/4 parts water is great! Some people boil the mixture but I’ve found that isn’t required. Just make sure you clean your feeders on a regular basis!
