Is That A Cat!? Check Out This Exotic Cat Captured Roaming The Streets Of Halifax!

This is not something you see everyday! Some Halifax residents saw a strange sight a few nights ago in Nova Scotia’s capital. A domestic housecat having a standoff with a illegal exotic serval cat!

Serval cats are wild cats that are native to Africa but are kept as pets by some in other provinces. In Nova Scotia they are prohibited. This one seems to have gotten loose and was captured soon after this picture was taken.

Both cats are fine and the serval cat has been taken to a saucuary by the Department of Natural Resources! It begs the question, I wonder how many other illegal exotic pets are in our province!
