Teen facing nearly 30 charges after weapons threats at Halifax high school

A Halifax teenager is facing nearly 30 charges after allegedly threatening to bring weapons to Citadel High School.

It was one week ago when the 16-year-old was arrested at 3 a.m. and a number of weapons were seized.

Halifax police say he is now facing 29 charges that include threats, promoting hate and other weapons charges.

  • Uttering threats (x4)
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose (x11)
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon (x1)
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm (x5)
  • Careless storage of a firearm or ammunition (x6)
  • Willful promotion of hatred (x2)

The teen is scheduled for court May 12.
