Health recruitment funding for Inverness, Port Hawkesbury

The province is making it easier for healthcare workers to settle down in our region.

They’re giving over $98,000 to Inverness to help new workers connect with a navigator, mentors and to find housing.

The Dr. Kingston Memorial Community Health Centre in Port Hawkesbury will receive $89,000 for a local medical student recruitment campaign and recognition events.

It’s part of the province’s Community Fund through the office of healthcare professionals recruitment.

MLA Kyle MacQuarrie says it shows ways to make future healthcare professionals feel welcomed and valued.
