Motorcycle driver dies in 2-vehicle crash in Bayhead

Colchester District RCMP are investigating a two-vehicle crash that has claimed the life of a man near Tatamagouche.

Police say emergency crews responded to a report of a collision involving a motorcycle and a Ford Escape in Bayhead at about 3:30 p.m. on Friday

Investigators say the northbound Escape was turning left off Highway 6 when it was struck by the southbound bike.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 60-year-old Malagash man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Escape, an 81-year-old Tatamagouche woman, did not report any injuries.

There were no passengers for either vehicle.

Highway 6 was closed for several hours.
