RCMP thanking public for help in search for wanted man

The Antigonish RCMP is thanking the public for their help to find a wanted man.

Police say they arrested a 46-year-old man on Saturday after a significant investigation, according to a social media post.

He faces multiple charges related to assault, threats, weapons and resisting arrest.

Sergeant Kim Hillier says catching him would not have been possible without tips from the community, according to a social media post.

“The tips and information provided by the Antigonish community were an important factor in the safe arrest,” wrote Hillier.

The man has appeared in court and remains in custody.
