What the Almanac Says About Winter in Nova Scotia

I know, I know summer’s not over yet!
But I’m just getting you prepared for the cold weather ahead. Like it or not, winter is around the corner, and The Old Farmer’s Almanac has released its predictions for our area.

Here’s the breakdown of what’s expected for our area in the Quads!

  • Temperatures: Expected to be above normal, meaning slightly milder than usual—but still cold.
  • Coldest Periods: Likely in early and mid-December, and again through much of January.
  • Precipitation & Snowfall: Both are forecast to be above normal, with a mix of rain and snow.
  • Snowiest Periods: Anticipated in mid-November, mid- and late December, and early to mid-January.

You can read the full extended forecast from the link above!
