Canada opens Women’s U18s with win in Cape Breton

Team Canada is off to a great start in Cape Breton.

The Women’s U18 hockey squad beat Switzerland 9-0 Saturday night in Membertou to open the world championship.

Boylston’s Kendall Doiron had a goal in the game, Clark’s Harbour’s Jaylee MacKinnon is also on Canada.

They play their next game Monday night at 6 against Hungary.
