2 new doctors in Antigonish are transforming medical practices

Two new doctors are leading significant improvements in reconstructive surgery and skin cancer treatment in Antigonish.

Dr. Corne Nel and Dr. Ash Singh are both from South Africa and began practicing at Saint Martha’s Regional Hospital last year following the retirement of Dr. Michael Brennan.

Nova Scotia Health says the physicians’ goal is to ensure timely access to reconstructive services for all patients based on individual needs.

They’re working to streamline diagnostic and treatment processes for breast reconstruction patients.

Recognizing the urgency of early intervention, the doctors also aim to implement a one-stop-approach to skin cancer treatment to reduce wait times and the need for more extensive procedures.
