Doctors will be able to work in any Atlantic province without restrictions

A significant move to cut red tape and paperwork for doctors in Atlantic Canada.

Physicians and surgeons will soon be able to move around and work within the region without additional licensing.

It was announced after a meeting with the four Atlantic premiers in P.E.I on Monday.

The premiers see it as a way to fill in some gaps if doctors are travelling around the region in the summer.

The plan is for the new system to be in place by May 1.
