Applications now accepted for 2023 Wine Award

You can now submit wines for the 2023 Lieutenant-Governor’s Award for Excellence in Nova Scotia Wines.

It recognizes the outstanding quality of wines that are sourced and produced here at home.

“The wine award is a wonderful way to recognize local wineries that have invested time and resources into a vibrant sector,” said Lt.-Gov. Arthur J. LeBlanc. “I am proud to showcase the quality of Nova Scotian wines and would like to thank the entire industry for their ongoing participation in this award program.”

— wineries may submit up to three commercially available wines made with 100 per cent Nova Scotian grapes
— the wines will be judged through a blind tasting process by a panel of 10 independent wine experts
— up to five wines will be selected for the annual award
— the winning wines will be announced at an awards ceremony at Government House in July
— the winning wineries will be presented with a medal and a certificate

The last day to apply is May 5.
