Police look for missing shotgun after car theft in Western Nova Scotia

Police are looking for information after a firearm went missing during a car theft in western Nova Scotia.

On Tuesday morning around 3:20a.m. East Hants RCMP reported to a theft of a black Ford F150 from a property on Highway 21 in Walton.

Police say the truck was unlocked and the key was inside it, then a few hours later, the truck was found on the Tenecape Wharf Rd.

Police say a shotgun had been stored under the backseat of the truck at the time it was stolen and is now missing.

It’s a Charles Daly 12-gauge pump action shotgun.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the East Hants District RCMP at 902-883-7077.
