Electoral boundary review for Antigonish County

The Municipality of the County of Antigonish is reviewing the size of its council and the electoral district boundaries in preparation for next year’s municipal election.

Stantec Consulting Ltd. has created a website to inform community members about the process as well as an initial survey to gather public opinion on the size of council.

According to the county’s website, there will be a public meeting to discuss council size on September 25th from 6:00PM-9:00PM at the Municipal Office at 285 Beech Hill Road.

Further public meetings will take place later this year to discuss boundary options and there will be a second survey so the public can indicate their boundary preferences.
