Antigonish women recognized for volunteer work

A pair of Antigonish residents have been recognized for their volunteerism.

Gladys MacDougall and Hillary Broussard have been named volunteers of the year.

Macdougall was named the 2019 Volunteer of the Year. She volunteers with Mental Health Family Support, and co-founded the Adult Friendship Corner, a community space where people who are struggling can get a cup of coffee and a conversation.

Broussard was named the 2019 Youth Volunteer of the Year, she coaches for the Antigonish Celtics Soccer Club.
