Richmond county has a new Deputy Warden and CAO.
Councillor Gilbert Boucher nominated Councillor Alvin Martell for the post, at the Richmond County Municipal Council Committee of the Whole meeting, Monday.
Without discussion, Martell was unceremoniously and unanimously voted-in as Deputy Warden in that meeting.
Only the warden offered brief congratulations.
Shortly after, the council accepted a recommendation to make Don Carchand, who had been serving in an interim capacity, Chief Administrative Officer for a one-year term
He replaces Kent MacIntyre, who was removed from the position by council in April.
