Water flushing to start Sunday to next Friday in Port Hawkesbury

Residents are warned that flushing of water mains and fire hydrants will start this weekend.

Work will begin Sunday and continue to Friday, November 3, 9pm to 5am, in areas served by Port Hawkesbury Water Utility.

The town says it’s to improve the clarity and quality of the water, but warns water may become discolored, if it does, run your cold water tap until clear.

If it does not clear, wait a few minutes, then try again.
