Parts of N.S. digging out after first snow of 2024 and storm coming Wednesday

Cape Breton has dodged the latest storm to hit Nova Scotia.

Most of the snow on the mainland Sunday night was along the South Shore which resulted in school cancellations for the region Monday.

Winter storm and snowfall warnings have ended in the province.

However, Environment Canada is calling for a potential storm to affect the Maritimes Wednesday.

The forecaster says it is too early to provide specific details about the messy mid-week system, but expect strong winds, heavy rain, and snow.
