Extreme cold in the west impacting some arrivals and departures at Halifax Stanfield

Check your flight status before heading to Halifax Stanfield.

While there were some delays and cancellations on the weekend due to a storm in Nova Scotia, some disruptions have been due to extreme cold elsewhere in the country.

In Sunday’s update, Calgary-based WestJet said consecutive days of frigid temperatures have been impacting their operations.

Alberta remains under an extreme cold warning due to a polar vortex which has resulted in temperatures from minus 30 to minus 45 with windchills between minus 40 and minus 50.
