Gear up for a swing in the price of diesel

Gear up for a change in the price of diesel.

The Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board has announced it will bring in the interrupter clause at midnight.

“This change is necessary due to significant shifts in the market price of diesel oil,” the gas regulator says in a news release.

The board did not say if the new price would be higher or lower. Reports indicate diesel could see a nearly eleven-cent spike.

The price of gas will not be impacted.

Currently, diesel is selling for $1.86 per litre. It’s more in rural markets.
