Up to 1000 Nova Scotia Power customers will be without electricity in parts of Guysborough County.
The utility says it’s due to a 12-hour planned outage on Tuesday.
Crews will be performing critical repairs to the main transmission line from Indian Harbour to Country Harbour Mines.
According to a NSP release, “as a result of this work, some customers in the communities of St. Mary’s, Bickerton, Indian Harbour, Goshen, Sherbrooke, Country Harbour, Fisherman’s Harbour, Sonora, and neighbouring communities will experience an interruption for approximately 12 hours between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.”
Customers affected should have received an automated call regarding the outage. If not, NSP encourages them to reach out to their Customer Care team to ensure they have their up-to-date contact information at 1-800-428-6230.
