The Strait Regional Centre for Education will be improving ventilation in its schools.
In a statement to The Hawk, the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development said;
“We are putting portable HEPA filtration systems in any school which relies solely on windows and doors for circulation. The portable units will be installed in every classroom, and other common and confined areas in the school where students come together.”
In the last provincial COVID briefing Premier Tim Houston said that schools will be working this week to ensure the safety of students and staff when in person learning resumes on January 17th.
