Flood repairs at Cape Breton hospital to take 5 months: public health

The Cape Breton Regional Hospital is still dealing with the aftermath of a flood.

Nova Scotia Health says doctors’ offices, one operating room, a perinatal clinic, administrative offices as well as elevators are affected.

All on the second and third floors.

Patients will be contacted directly in advance of any upcoming appointments.

A pipe burst on the hospital’s third floor on August 25.

Repairs are expected to take about five months.
