Two sudden deaths in Yarmouth were suspicious, says RCMP

The RCMP says two sudden deaths in Yarmouth were suspicious.

On Friday, police say they found the remains of two adults who knew each other, a 58-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman at a home on Placid Court, the RCMP said in a news release.

The Southwest Nova Scotia RCMP Major Crime Unit will lead the investigation, working with police in Yarmouth and Shelburne, as well as forensic services, Southwest Nova Traffic Services and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service.

The RCMP said it’s early on in the investigation and they wouldn’t release any further details at this time.
