Antigonish District RCMP Investigating Damage Done to a Filling Station

The Antigonish District RCMP is investigating damage caused to a filling station used by the fire department in Monastery.

The fire department first reported the damage on Tuesday and officers discovered that the filling pipe on the water station had been cut.

The damage could have delayed the fire crew’s response to an emergency, threating public safety. Its estimated that the vandalism happened between July 31st and August 8th.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Antigonish District RCMP at 902-863-6500 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477.

Its being investigated as a mischief case.
