Royal Canadian Legion Branch 46 Pays Tribute to Queen Elizabeth II

As Canadians bid farewell to her majesty Queen Elizabeth II, The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 46 in Canso held a memorial ceremony today. Legion members, 5th Canso Scout members, and area residents gathered at the event which was emceed by Legion Vice President Juanita Dort.

People gathered at the soldier’s cenotaph for the ceremony. The songs, God Save the Queen, O Canada, and Last Post were played, and a moment of silence was observed

Scouter Harold Roberts raised the Canada flag and Juniata Dort gave a toast to King Charles III and the Queen.
