100 Woman Who Care Rural Cape Breton Supports Inverness County Organization

An Inverness County Charity will benefit from a large monetary donation. The Mawi Ta’Mk society was chosen by 100 Woman Who Care Rural Cape Breton for an award of $10.000

Each member put $100 dollars towards the organization, the cheques from each member were then placed in an envelop for a recipient representative to open.

Mawi Ta’mk manager Rosie Sylliboy accepted the donation at a meeting held by 100 woman who care on September 15th in Mabou and 100 woman co-chair Mary Janet MacDonald says Sylliboy was very happy to receive this award. “She actually took all the envelopes and hugged them to her chest she was so thankful that the membership felt that strongly about their project.” Says MacDonald.

Mawi Ta’mk is a group that is dedicated to making the lives of people with disabilities better you can learn more about them at: Mawita’mk – Being Together (mawitamk.org)
