Municipality of the County of Inverness Applies to Community Generator Program

The Municipality of the County of Inverness is preparing for the next hurricane.

Council voted to apply for the Nova Scotia Community Generator Program at their last council meeting. CAO Keith MacDonald says this will provide generators for buildings that will be used as comfort centres.

The Municipality wants to be prepared ahead of time after seeing the effects of Hurricane Fiona.

The deadline for Nova Scotia communities to apply for this program is November 17th
