Richmond County Warden Attends Marine Renewable Energy Conference

The Warden of the Municipality of the County of Richmond attended the annual Marine Renewable Energy Conference. The event was held last week, and Warden Amanda Mombourquette was joined by members of the Strait of Canso Offshore Wind Task Force. The event allows community leaders to enhance ideas on renewable energy and this year’s meeting was well attended.

The county is learning more about their offshore wind resources and how to harness that energy and Mombourquette says the region has real energy potential. She encourages the rest of Nova Scotia to pursue renewable energy resources and become part of the solution.
