Cram the Cruiser/Fire Truck Food Bank Drive Receives Generous Community Support

Richmond County residents showed their support for the less fortunate by donating $4381.70 to the Annual Cram the Cruiser/Fire Truck Food Bank Drive held over the weekend.

The drive was run by the St Peters and Area Foodbank Society in partnership with the Richmond County RCMP and the St Peters and Isle Madame Volunteer Fire Departments.

Volunteers collected monetary and food donations at Charles Forrest CO-OP in Arichat and the Foodland in St Peters. In addition to the large amount of cash raised, a lot of nonperishable food donations were received enough to fill several fire trucks.

The proceeds are going to the food bank society and the organizers would like to thank local musicians Timonthy Faulkner, Bill Culp and Keith Wiseman for performing at the two stores as well the general public for their donations.
