Town of Mulgrave Requesting More RCMP Presence to Discourage Unlawful ATV Usage

The Town of Mulgrave is still dealing with people making noise with all-terrain vehicles at nighttime.

Mayor Ron Chisholm says this has upset many residents that are trying to sleep. Mulgrave is a senior’s community and that means they go to bed early. Residents have dealt with the sound of squealing tires from these motorists.

The town is requesting more RCMP presence in the community to hopefully discourage people from committing this kind of mischief. Chisholm says they offered the RCMP some office space at the Municipal Building to allow them to be present in the community.

RCMP Constable Steven MacCallum attended the last regular council meeting, and he is open to the idea.

A decision on whether to use the office space has not been made yet.
