The Municipality of The County of Guysborough is working to develop affordable housing. Warden Vernon Pitts says there is development land available that can be used.
“We have some prime residential property up in Cutler’s Brook Estates and I am sure council will make some land there available for affordable housing.” stated Warden Pitts. “We need a viable organization to come forward to spearhead this development, we will partner with organizations, but we will not be spearheading the development.”
The Cutler’s Brook Estates is a desirable location that would have homes close to many of Guysborough’s amenities including shopping and recreation facilities and there is access to a public wastewater system.
