British Airways plane lands safely in Halifax after smoke in cabin

A British Airways plane had to make an unexpected stop in Halifax on Wednesday night.

The plane was dealing with reports of smoke in the cabin, so as a precaution, the pilot landed safely at Halifax Stanfield.

The Boeing 787 started its journey in Washington and was on its way to London before the detour.

No word on how many passengers were onboard.
