Nominations Open for Order of Nova Scotia Recipients

Nova Scotians are encouraged to nominate community members for the Order of Nova Scotia.

The order is the province’s highest honour and recognizes citizens for making exceptional and lasting contributions to their communities. Past recipients have included a Nobel Prize laureate, athletes, volunteers, and advocates.

Lieutenant Governor and Chancellor of the Order of Nova Scotia Arthur J Leblanc looks forward to recognizing new achievements and encourages residents to nominate people that have improved the lives of others and exceeded expectations.

120 members have been invested into the Order of Nova Scotia since it was established in 2001. Winners receive the awards at an annual ceremony dinner.

Nominations can be made via mail or e-mail and they will be open until March 17th and more information can be found here: Order of Nova Scotia
