Jimmy Rankin announced on social media that the six string he used to write “Fare Thee Well Love” is now on display at the National Music Centre in Calgary as part of their new Showcase Guitar exhibit.

The exhibits’ purpose is to showcase an instrument that is considered to be one of the most popular and versatile among musicians.

The Rankin Family is a county folk group from Mabou and their song “Fare Thee Well Love” won Single of the Year at the 1994 Junos.

The exhibit opened on February 11th and will be on display until December 31st.
