Man guilty of murdering Yarmouth man to be sentenced Thursday

A man found guilty of murdering Yarmouth’s Colton Cook will be officially sentenced Thursday in Yarmouth Supreme Court.

Robert Rogers will get a life sentence for second-degree murder for the September, 2020 killing of Cook at a home in South Ohio.

Rogers shot and stabbed Cook until he died, his body and burned-out truck were found on Saunders Road days later.

Justice Pierre Muise will determine how long it will be before Rogers can be eligible for parole, the minimum is 10 years.

A jury found him guilty in January.

Two other men involved in the case pleaded guilty.

Last month, Keith Siscoe Jr. was sentenced to three-years in prison for accessory after the fact to murder.

Wayne Crawford will be sentenced on May 30th for second-degree murder.
