Police seize cocaine and unstamped cigarettes after two traffic stops

Two traffic stops led to seizures of cocaine and over 640 thousand unstamped cigarettes.

The first was on May 26 at about 5:30a.m., when a 52-year-old man Bedford man was stopped after speeding near the Cobequid Pass.

Police searched his vehicle and found 40kg of cocaine.

Then on May 27, at about 10:30a.m., a 66-year-old Ontario man was stopped on Highway 104, during another traffic stop. Officers seized over 643,000 unstamped cigarettes from his vehicle.

Both men are to appear in court at a later date.
