SSNS Division 3 Girls Highschool Provincials results (June 9 and 10)

Field 1 -10am game
Tatamagouche beat Antigonish, with a score of 19 – 9 after 5 complete innings.

Field 2 -10am game
North Queens beat Beau-Port, with a score of 19 – 4 after 5 complete innings.

At Field 1 (12pm)
– Opening Ceremonies – all teams marched on the field.
– Pierre-Alexandre Hébert, Physical Education teacher at École Beau-Port was the MC.
– Dignitaries present had remarks (wished all teams welcome to the area, congrats to all participants for making it to Provincials): Amanda Mombourquette (Municipality of Richmond County Warden), Mathieu Haley (Representing the Conseil Scolaire Acadien Provincial), Stephen Gallant (SSNS Executive Director) & Chantal Samson-Haley (Vice Principal for École Beau-Port).
– Grade 12 students received a flower.
– Athlete’s Pledge (Sara Bona (Grade 12) & Amber Olsen (Grade 11) – both of École Beau-Port).
– Coaches Pledge (Cindy Olsen & Jannick Boudreau – coaches for École Beau-Port)
– O Canada (Alexis Samson (Grade 10), Sophie Samson (Grade 11) & Isabelle Ferdais (Grade 12).

At Field 1:
Inverness beat Oxford , with a score of 9- 6 after the top of the 7th inning.

At Field 2:
Marine Drive beat New Germany 14-2

Tatamagouche beat Beau Port, with a score of 17- 11 after the top of the 7th inning.

At Field 2:

East Antigonish beat North Queens, with a score of 10 – 6 after 7 complete innings.

Inverness’ #88 Lily MacLean Hit an infield home run while bases loaded. But they couldn’t stop Tatamagouche’s big hitters #8 Danica McAvoy and #5 Olivia Matheson

Marine Drive beat East Antigonish with a score of 17 – 1 after 5 complete innings

Highlights

Marine Drive’s pitcher #8 Amelya Currie, along with their top batter #7 Rachel Munroe lead their team through the semi final game against East Antigonish
