Deadline coming for N.S. short-term rental operators

If you own an Airbnb in Nova Scotia, an important deadline is coming up.

You have until Wednesday to list registration numbers online, or you could face a fine of $7,500.

This applies to all tourist accommodations on sites like Expedia, TripAdvisor, Booking.com and more.

New legislation from the province says all short-term rentals have to include the numbers with the Tourist Accommodations Registry.

Over 5,000 short-term rentals have registered with the province this year.
