Florence man charged with cocaine trafficking in Sydney Mines

The Cape Breton Regional Police arrested a Florence man after seizing drug trafficking equipment from three residences linked to him.

Yesterday, officers executed search warrants for houses on Pitt Street, Young Street, and Brooklyn Avenue in Sydney Mines. They found cocaine packaging, scales, and $50,00 in cash.

The 51-year-old was arrested on Pitt Street and is set to stand trial in provincial court, where he is charged with cocaine trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

It’s part of the CBRM’s ongoing investigation into the drug trade.
