RCMP in Pictou Coubty have arrested a 61-year-old after an alleged axe attack.
John Douglas Cress was at the centre of a manhunt in Thorburn, but officers say he’s been safely taken into custody.
An emergency alert advising residents to say inside has been cancelled.
Police say one person was hurt in the axe attack, but the seriousness of their injuries is not known.
