A new program at SfFX is giving Indigenous children an early look at university life.
Children from Paqtnkek First Nation are taking part in Mini U, a pilot program though human kinetics professor Dr. Amanda Casey.
The students from grades Primary to 4 visit the campus every Thursday to see what it’s like to attend the school.
The university says more than 20 students go through activities with StFX students.
Dr. Casey says the goal is to collaborate and build Indigenous services, and helps the students learn from one another.
