Antigonish man dies in car-pedestrian collision

The RCMP is investigating a fatal vehicle-pedestrian collision in Antigonish.

Police say just before 6 p.m. Tuesday, a car hit a person on James Street.

The pedestrian, an 83-year-old Antigonish man, was transported to hospital where he died of his injuries.

The 67-year-old Antigonish man driving was not injured.

James Street was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
