Snow squall watch in effect for Pictou and Antigonish Counties

A snow squall watch is in effect early this evening until Thursday morning.

Environment Canada says it’s for Pictou and Antigonish Counties, especially along the Trans Canada between Antigonish and New Glasgow.

Winds could be up to 80 km/h and 10cm could fall, in a snow squall, and could cause near zero visibility, as snow could be heavy and accumulate fast.

The forecaster says to continue to monitor alerts.
