N.S. has highest healthcare wait-times in Canada – Fraser Institute

Nova Scotians wait for healthcare longer than anyone in Canada.

A new study from the Fraser Institute reveals we wait just over 56 weeks.

The national average is nearly 28 weeks.

PEI has the second longest wait times at 55 weeks, and then New Brunswick at 52 weeks.

The institute says despite provincial strategies to reduce wait times, it’s clear that patients in Canada are waiting too long for medically neccessary treatment.
