South Shore expected to get brunt of weekend snow storm

A change in the path of a weekend snow storm.

Environment Canada says it’s now tracking further offshore, but up to 20 centimetres could fall Sunday into Monday.

Southwestern Nova Scotia will see the heaviest snowfall.

A Special Weather Statement is in effect for Yarmouth, Shelburne, Digby, Lunenburg, Queens, Halifax and southern Annapolis counties.

The forecaster notes the track could still change expected snow amounts.

The highest wind gusts are expected to reach 60 km/h.
