All provincial roads now open after snow storm

One week after a massive snow storm, all provincial roads are open.

The Department of Public Works says all roads have at least one lane open.

Over the next week, they’ll work on widening roads and removing more snow.

The storm dumped up to 100 centimetres of snow on areas like Pictou, Antigonish, Guysborough and Port Hawkesbury.

Some areas in northern Cape Breton got close to 150 centimetres.

The Cape Breton Regional Municipality remains under a state of emergency until Sunday at 2 p.m.
