Award nomination deadline Friday for healthcare providers, Port Hawkesbury and Richmond Co.

Nominations are open for the third annual awards in recognition of healthcare providers in Cape Breton South.

Community of Care Awards acknowledge the critical roles healthcare workers play and the sacrifices they make to serve our communities.

Residents have until this Friday at 5 p.m. to nominate outstanding healthcare professionals working in the town of Port Hawkesbury and/or the Municipality of the County of Richmond.

Cape Breton South Recruiting for Health says awards in various categories will be given out during a special ceremony next month.

There are several award categories: Healthy Communities Leader, Mentor Champion, Life-Long Learner, Dedicated Mental Health/Long-Term/Continuing Care Professional, and the Healthcare Hero Award for professionals employed in the health sector.

The honours include a volunteer category, Making a Daily Difference Award, and recognition for an innovative business or organization in the medical field called the Making Health your Business Award.

See the CBSRH Facebook page for a link to the nomination form or contact gmacdonald@capebretonrecruiting.com
